These last weeks have seen a flurry of activity as the CHARTER project begins to wind down its activities, but ramps up its outputs as the project will be drawing to a close at the beginning of 2025. Indeed last week the final CHARTER Assembly was held in Rovaniemi over several days and was attended by over 70 participants. More about that later!
A significant challenge for researchers and research projects is the production of useful and useable content for policy makers and decision makers. These briefings and related content need to backed by extensive research, but also need to be brief, in plain language, and free of jargon.
Towards that end, CHARTER has created the below policy brief titled: TENSIONAL DREAMS: Policy Options for a Sustainable Arctic, and the working paper that it was based on is available on our policy briefs page. The document, a 2 pager, is the result of years of research, discussions, meetings with researchers and arctic livelihood practitioners. Design input was by Irina Wang.
