How to Envision Positive Arctic Futures?

The 3rd World Biodiversity Forum in Davos, Switzerland, recently wrapped up and was attended by around 800 participants. The event covered diverse topics and discussions on the future of biodiversity, emphasising marine conservation, freshwater biodiversity, and climate change impacts.

And there was an Arctic focussed event this time around thanks to an intensive organising stint by CHARTER folks Professor Gabriela Schaepman-Strub and Jakob Assmann of the University of Zurich: Workshop description here.

The findings and materials will be released in the future, but a short video where you can see and hear several CHARTER folks was made by the workshop facilitators, which was organised as a design thinking event, with an emphasis on visual sketching.

The workshop was part facilitated by Oliver Wyman and you can watch a short video of it here.

FACE-IT folks Kai Bischoff and Simon Jungblut and ECOTIP, our sister Horizon 2020 projects with a focus on Arctic biodiversity were also present.
